What RentScope collects, why, and what it never collects. This page describes the production behaviour of the service; it is pending owner legal review before public registration opens.
What we never collect
Landlord or agent contact details, seller names, phone numbers, email addresses or chat handles from listings. Listing contact details are removed before storage.
Cookies
One session cookie and one CSRF cookie — both first-party, host-only, HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax. There are no advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
How data is used
Account data is used to operate your account, send verification and password-reset email, and keep the service secure. Market statistics are aggregated and never contain account data.
Transactional email (verification, password reset) is delivered through our email provider. We do not send marketing email in this phase.
Your choices
You can change your password, sign out of all sessions and delete your account from the account pages. Deletion anonymizes your profile data, revokes sessions and entitlements, and retains only non-personal security and audit records.
